Hyperterminal is a program that comes with your computer's operating system. Hyperterminal will capture and display information that is scanned using the SCANLINK product.

Note: When using the hyperterminal program, you are basically using your computer instead of a printer, requiring further manipulation of the captured information. Below you will find a screen print of the most common setup for the Scan Properties of Hyperterminal.

The scanners used at tradeshows send special characters which help identify the individual pieces of a attendee' name, address, phone, etc.
In order to contact the person in the example, you must clearly SEE their name and number. Using hyperterminals' 'CAPTURE TEXT' feature, your lead collection efforts would be successful!

Hyperterminal will do nothing more, than capture raw data. (simply stated). However, it is a useful tool when experience problems with your scanner or software.
